On August 2, 1970, Woodrow Rivers purchased Charles Adams Roofing Company and changed the name to Westbank Roofing Co., Inc.
 
In 1978 the business moved from Belle Chasse to its current location in Harvey and Mr. River's sister, Mary Hinkley and her husband David Hinkley joined the
firm. David was named manager of Westbank Roofing while Mary was given responsibility for internal office operation. Under the direction of the Hinkley's, Westbank Roofing expanded into the sheet metal supply business and founded Westbank Roofing and Sheetmetal Supply Company.
 
In 1983, the Hinkley's purchased both Westbank Roofing and Westbank Roofing and Sheetmetal Supply Company from Woodrow. The company became one of the largest residential roofing, siding and sheet metal companies serving Southeast Louisiana.
 
As of today, David and Mary’s granddaughter, Caitlin is the third-generation owner of Westbank Roofing. Caitlin was practically raised at 1948 Industrial Blvd.
and has developed a vast knowledge of the roofing process from diagnosing and recommending repair solutions to overseeing operations of the roofing and sheet metal business.
 
Caitlin is active in the community, in her church and managing her family (here comes the fourth generation).
